ÆRAS Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective October 9, 2026

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Payments are made to ÆRAS. To ask for a refund or cancel, use the Contact page. Choose Refund or billing and include your order or payment id and the email you used. We reply within 5 business days.

The short version

What you bought	Refunds and cancellation
Keep ÆRAS on (tips)	Voluntary support, so normally not refundable. Mistakes such as a wrong amount or a duplicate payment are refunded if you tell us within 30 days.
Boost ($2)	Not refundable once it’s recorded. It records chart interest only. Duplicates or mistakes are refunded if you tell us within 30 days.
Listener Plus ($4/month)	Cancel any time through the Contact page (or the link in your Stripe receipt, if there is one). Cancelling stops future charges. You keep Plus until the end of the month you paid for. A month you’ve already started isn’t refunded, unless the feature didn’t work for you.
Submit pass ($7) / Extra track ($2)	Unused: full refund on request within 14 days. Once used for a submission, not refundable, because you paid for booth review, not airplay. A rejection doesn’t trigger a refund.
DJ Reads ($49 / $149 / $399)	Full refund if you cancel before your script is approved, or if we decline it. After it starts airing: you can cancel at any time and we refund the reads that haven’t aired yet. If we deliver fewer reads than the package promises, we refund the shortfall.
Star Spotlight ($19)	Full refund if you cancel before it starts. Once it’s running, it isn’t refundable, unless it stops because of a problem on our side (then we refund the unused days or move them, you choose).
Star Interview ($59)	Full refund if you cancel before we approve the audio, or if we decline your script or audio. After it starts airing, you can cancel at any time and we refund the plays that haven’t aired yet. If we air fewer plays than promised, we refund the shortfall.
Fan Wall ($4)	Full refund if our booth declines it or if you cancel before it starts. Once it’s running, it isn’t refundable, unless it stops because of a problem on our side.
Fan Shout-out ($5)	Full refund if our booth declines it or if you cancel before the audio is approved. If it plays fewer than 2 times, we refund the missed plays. Refunds go back to the card that paid.
Pro Audio B/C ($1.79)	Full refund if your master fails our quality check. Once a passing master is ready to download, it’s a delivered digital file and not refundable, unless the file is faulty and we can’t fix it within 10 days. Option A is free.
Any duplicate or mistaken charge	Always refunded.

How refunds are paid

Card (Stripe): back to the original card. It usually shows up within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Interac e-Transfer: sent back by Interac e-Transfer to the sender, usually within 5 business days of approval.

We refund in CAD. Bank exchange-rate differences aren’t covered.

If something goes wrong on our side

If a paid feature doesn’t work because of a problem at ÆRAS (for example the station is down for a long stretch during your DJ Reads run), we’ll extend it, re-run it or refund the affected part. You choose.

Disputes and chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can usually fix it faster. If you file a chargeback, we’ll respond with the order details.

Your legal rights

This policy doesn’t limit any rights you have under consumer protection law where you live. For example, Quebec and other provinces give rights to cancel distance or internet contracts in some situations.
